Solar System Educators Program Solar System Educators
The goal of the Solar System Educators Program (SSEP) is to inspire America's students, create learning opportunities, and enlighten inquisitive minds by engaging them in the Solar System exploration efforts conducted by the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL). Space Explorer, Inc. (SEI), and the Virginia Space Grant Consortium (VSGC). However, the heart of the program is a large nationwide network of highly motivated educators. These Solar System Educators lead workshops around the country that show teachers how to successfully incorporate JPL materials into their classes. The Deep Space Network is one of nine JPL missions or programs who participate in the Solar System Educators Program. Additional information is available at http://www.ssep.org.

Solar System Ambassadors Program Solar System Ambassadors
The DSN is one of the JPL missions supporting the Solar System Ambassadors Program. This is a public outreach program designed to work with motivated volunteers across the nation. Volunteers are asked to organize and conduct public events that communicate exciting discoveries and plans for exploration in Solar System research and technology through non-traditional forums, e.g. Rotary Clubs, libraries, museums, planetariums, "star parties", mall displays, etc. There are over 200 Ambassadors in 48 states bringing the excitement of space to the public.
