Site Preparation and Excavation
In this view of the construction site for the new beam waveguide antenna in Madrid, Spain, DSS-55, the antenna will be centered where three people can be seen standing. The construction access road is in the middle of the picture. Antennas visible in the background are (from left to right) DSS-65 (34-meter HEF), DSS-63 (70-meter), DSS-61 (34-meter Standard, now closed), and DSS-53 (11-meter). DSS-54 the other 34-meter BWG antenna is off the left edge of the photo.
