Pedestal Construction
The concrete placement for the lower pedestal walls for DSS-55 occurred on January 8, 2002. No problems
were encountered during the process. However, due to the cold weather conditions, special care was taken to
ensure a proper environment for the concrete to cure. This involved covering the entire pedestal after completion of
concrete placement, and the use of high capacity space heaters.
