Steel Erection
The ground assembly of the main reflector began this week with the installation of the elevation bearing assemblies
and internal ring girder components on temporary piers. The ground assembly of the main reflector must take place
close to the alidade so that when the entire structure is assembled it can be raised with one big crane lift.
