Facilities Construction
DSS-55 rotated in elevation for the first time this week! This is a major milestone as part of the installation and
check-out of the servo and drive systems of the antenna. This is also a necessary step before final alignment of the main
reflector surface can be accomplished since this alignment must be done at the rigging angle of 45 degrees in
elevation.
