These pictures give us some idea of how large a 64-meter antenna really is. The antenna is shown superimposed against the eight-story central engineering building at JPL and in the Rose Bowl in Pasadena. This antenna and the two 64-meter antennas overseas were subsequently extended to 70 meters (230 feet).
