The following additions or changes have been made recently to the on-line version of 810-005.

October 31, 2009

Replaced module 203B with 203C to remove references of the decommissioned 26-m subnet stations. On Page 40, Reference 2 was replaced. Minor editorial changes were made on Pages 31, A-1, and A-2.

Replaced module 206A with 206B to remove all references of the 26-m stations.

Replaced module 305A with 305B and module 901C with 901D to eliminate references to the term DSMS and to remove all references related to the 26-m stations.

September 15, 2009

Replaced module 101B with 101C to eliminate all references to the term DSMS. Correctly stated that 400-kW S-band uplink is only available at DSS-43. Specified the frequency range of support for this high-power capability. Removed the S-band radar transmitter of DSS-14 in Figure 1.

Replaced module 104D with 104E to correctly show the G and T parameters for DSS-54 and DSS-55 in Table A-4. HEMT numbering has also been corrected in that Table.

Replaced module 105C with 105D to correct the order and labels for Equations (10) and (11) on Page 18.

Removed modules 102, 204, 212, and 213 due to the 26-m subnet stations decommissioning.

Complete reissue as 810-005, Revision E effective November 30, 2000. Volume 2 was deleted. Proposed capabilities are now included as a separate section at the end of each module, where appropriate. Links in the revision history have been removed since the referenced documents have been superseded.

June 23, 1999

Added PDF version of module TCI-40 (Atmospheric and Environmental Effects). Except for minor changes in the pagination, this is the same module that was published as a hardcopy version on May 1, 1992.

March 22, 1999

Corrected on-line version of module GEO-10 to eliminate file compression of Excel macro files. There was no change to the module content.

July 1, 1998

Added module TRK-21 to on-line edition of 810-5. This is a new module that provides information on Doppler tracking performance when using the Block V digital receivers.

July 15, 1997

Added module GEO-10 to on-line edition of 810-5. This is a revised module that provides the latest station coordinates, coverage plots, and horizon masks for DSN stations.

March 29, 1997

Added module RSS-10 to on-line edition of 810-5. This is the initial release of January 15, 1995 which has been re-formatted in order to provide a better on-line presentation. There is no change in content.

January 22, 1997

Provided new cover showing URL and Foreword accidentally omitted from last release.

Added revision to module TCI-10 that provides the System Noise Temperature at DSS 43 using the S-band ultracone, the S-band rise and set horizon mask Tops for all antennas, and the functional block diagrams for SPD and XRO cones.

Added Change 1 to module TRK-30 to correct information about Transmit & Receiver Time (Paragraph 2.2.1) and Inversion (Paragraph 2.2.7.3).

Added revision to module CMD-10 that upgrades information on DSN Command System to what is presently provided in module CMD-10(PC) in Volume II of this handbook with minor revisions resulting from the Command Subsystem and 34-meter BWG antenna implementations.

This is a new release of the on-line version of 810-5. All modules have been compared to their paper equivalents and changes have been made to the on-line version to make the content and paragraph numbering the same in both versions.
